Wednesday

Today for math we worked on 9.4, pages 383 to 384, questions 1 to 13. For Language we worked on chapter 9 for Wind Spirit and continue with our Slang Dictionary. For History the 7-3 class were introduced to Unit 2.

Tuesday

Today for Math we reviewed 9.2 and had a quiz on it. After that we worked on 9.3 from the Text book and we also had a quiz on it. For Language we continued with our Slang Dictionary's and chapter 8 from Wind spirit. For History the grade 6 class had their final day to work on their projects. They are due Friday May 3rd, 2019.

Monday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 9.1 and then started 9.2, pages 374 to 376, questions 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10 and 11. for Language we continued with chapter 8 for Wind Spirit and started a new writing assignment called "Slang Dictionary". For History the 7-1 class completed chapter 4.

Thursday

Today for math we had a quiz on the Skills you'll need for unit 9 and then worked on 9.1, pages 370 to 371, questions 1 to 8. For Language we continued with chapter 7 and our Advice columns. For Rotary the grade 6 class had their third of four classes for their projects.

Wednesday

Today for Math we had our Unit Test. After that we started the Skills You'll need for Unit 9. We also continued with our Advice Column and worked on Chapter 7. For Rotary the 7-1 class started Unit 2.

Tuesday

Today for Math we continued with the Unit Review from Thursday and worked on the unit Review from the Homework book. For Language we started on a new writing assignment, "Advice Column". For History the 7-3 class completed a story board to review Unit 1.

Wednesday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 8.4 and then continued into 8.5, pages 353 to 354 questions 1,2,3 and 4. We had our Turkey Lunch today, so there was no Language. For Rotary to 7-1 class completed a storyboard for a summary of Unit 1.

Tuesday

Today for Math we worked on 8.4 pages 248 to 350, all questions (1-13). For Language we continued with chapter 5 for Wind Spirit and our Bunny Story. For History to 7-3 class had their third and final class for their projects. They are du on April 23rd, 2019.

Monday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 8.3. For Language we worked on chapter 5 for Wind Spirit and started a new writing project called the Bunny Story. For Social Studies the grade 6 class started their projects on their favourite fruit.

Friday

Today for Math we worked on 8.3, pages 339 to 341, questions 1,2,3,4,5,6,8a and 9a. For Language we continued with the Picture Books for the final day and chapter 4 for Wind Spirit. For History the 7-1 class had their third and final day for their projects. They are due Wednesday April 17, 2019.

Thursday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 8.2 and then worked on the Mind Unit Review on page 336, questions 1 to 8. For Language we continued with Chapter 4 for Wind Spirit and we also continued with our Picture books. For History the 7-3 class had their 2nd of 3 classes for their projects.

Wednesday

Today for Math WE worked on 8.2 pages 331 to 332, questions 2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. For Language we worked on chapter 4 for Wind Spirit and continued with our Picture Books. For Grade 6 Social Studies we completed chapter 3. We will also be starting the projects for them on Monday.

Tuesday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 8.1. For Language we worked on chapter 3 and continued with the Picture Books. For History the 7-1 class had their 2nd of 3 classes for their projects.

Monday

Today for Math we worked on 8.1 pages 327 to 328, questions 1,2,3 and 4. For Language we started a new writing assignment called Picture Book. For History the 7-3 class started their projects.

Thursday

Today for Math we had our Unit Test. For Language we had our final day to work on the News article. We also started chapter 2 for Wind Spirit. For Rotary the grade 6 class learned about the different trade agreements. There was also a supervised walkout today in support of the provincial schools.

Wednesday

Today for math we worked on the Unit Review, pages 312-314, questions 1-8 and 11-13. For Language we continued with our Novel Study and News Article. For Rotary the 7-1 class started their History projects.

Tuesday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 7.2. WE continued with our news article and started a new novel study called "Wind Spirit". For Rotary the 7-3 class completed chapter 3.

Monday

Today for Math we worked on 7.5, pages 305 to 307, questions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. For Language we had a quiz on Making Connections and started our new Writing assignment, which is a New Article. For Rotary, the grade 6 class started chapter 3.

Thursday

Today for Math we worked on 7.5, pages 300 to 301. For Language we continued with our Honest Ads. There was no Rotary today.

Wednesday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 7.4. We also continued with our Honest Ads and Nelson Literacy. For Social Studies we completed chapter 2 and had our Grad Photos.

Tuesday

Today for Math we worked on 7.4. For Language we continued with Literacy Power and our Honest Advertising. For History the 7-1 class completed chapter 3.

Friday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 7.3. For Language we worked on our Radio Commercials and recorded them. For Social Studies the grade 6 class had a quiz and worked on completing chapter 2.

Thursday

Today for Math we worked on 7.3 pages 287-289, questions 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 13. For Language we continued with Radio Commercials and our Nelson Literacy Unit on Making Connections. For History the 7-1 class started chapter 2.

Wednesday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 7.2. For Language we continued with our Radio Commercials and we started the Nelson Unit for Making Connections. For History the 7-3 class completed chapter 2.

Tuesday

We started today with an assembly. After that for Rotary the grade 6 class worked on Latitude and Longitude. For Math the class worked on 7.2, pages 281-282, questions 2,3,4,5,7,10,11,12 and 13. For Language the class continued with Literacy Power and the Radio Commericals.

Monday

Welcome Back! Today for Math we reviewed 7.1 and then had a quiz on quiz on it. For Language we worked on Literacy power and then started our new writing assignment for the week, Radio Commercials". For History the 7-1 class completed chapter 2.

Thursday

Today we had a Social in the Morning. In the Afternoon the students worked on their Instructions. Tomorrow is the Skate and Dance.

Today we were at the Community Hall for the "It's All About Me" day.

Tuesday

Today for Math we started Unit 7 and worked on 7.1, pages 274 to 275, questions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. For Language we continued with Literacy Power and our Instructions assignment. For History the 7-3 class started chapter 2.

Monday

Today for Math we had our Unit 5 test! For language we worked on Literacy power and started our new Writing assignment, "Instructions", which should be very entertaining! For History the grade 6 class started chapter 2.

Friday

Today for Math we worked on the Practice test for Unit 5 o page 233. WE also had the final day to work on the Sci-Fi Writing assignment. For History the 7-1 class started chapter 2.

Thursday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 5.6. For Language we continued with Literacy Power and Sci-Fi. For History the 7-3 class completed chapter 1.

Tuesday

Yet another shorter week due to snow. Today for Math we worked on 5.6, pages 225 to 226, questions 1 and 3. For Language we worked on Literacy Power and started a new writing assignment "Science Fiction". For History the 7-1 class completed chapter 1.

Friday

Today we had the Science Fair for the morning. After that we worked on the Poetry Projects for the FINAL DAY!!!!!! There was no Rotary today because of the Science Fair.

Thursday

Today for Math we had a quiz on 5.5. For Language we continued with Literacy Power and the Poetry Project. For History the 7-1 class started chapter 1.

Wednesday

Today for Math we worked on 5.5, pages 216 to 220, questions 6. After that we had the read a loud, Literacy power, and continued with the Poetry project. Again, most students need to bring in pictures for their project. For History the 7-3 class started chapter 1.

Another Short Week!

Today for Math we reviewed 5.4 and then had a quiz on it. For Language we worked on Literacy Power and our Poetry Projects. Most students need to bring in pictures for their project. For Social Studies, the grad 6 class started chapter 1.

Welcome Back!

Today for Math we worked on 5.4, pages 213, question 1. For Language we continued with our poetry Project. In he Afternoon the class went on the trip that was booked for yesterday. In history the 7-3 class had their introduction to History.

Tuesday

Today for Math we worked on 5.3 pages 203 to 204, questions 1,2,3 and 4. For Language we continued with our Poetry unit and Literacy Power. For Social Studies the grade 6's had their introduction to the class.

Monday

Today for Math we reviewed 5.1 and had a quiz. We also worked on 5.2 and had a quiz on that too!. For Language we started our Poetry Unit and continued with Literacy power. There was no rotary again today. Term two for Rotary begins tomorrow.

Friday

Today for Math we worked on 5.1 from the test book, pages 187 to 191 all questions. After that they had time to work on their J.C. Hill News Articles. At the end of the day we participated in the Elephant Thought Educational Outreach program. There was no rotary today. Rotary for Term two will begin on Tuesday February 5th, 2019.

Another Short Week!

Welcome back from the Snow Day and we will be off tomorrow for the EXTREME COLD!!!!!!!! Today we had our Unit 6 Math Test, Literacy Power and continued with the News Articles. For History the 8-1 class had their third and final class with Mr. Montour. Friday will be High School Interviews in the morning with MPSS.

Monday

Today for Math we went over the formulas for unit 6 and then worked on the Practice Test in groups. Tomorrow is the unit TEST!!!!! For Language we did the Read a loud and started a new reading assignment called Literacy Power. We also started the new writing assignment called J.C. Hill News Article. For History the 8-2 class had their second class with Mr. Montour.

Short Week

Between the snowday and the PD day tomorrow the students had a very short week. Today we worked on 6.4 and 6.5 from the text book and had a quiz. We also continued with our speeches.

Today for Math we did a review of 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3, followed by a group assignment and a quiz on 6.3. We also continued with our speeches. Tomorrow we will begin to present them. For History the 8-1 class had their first class with Mr. Montour.
